Widad A.K. Restom, born April 16, 1927 (92 years young), a Syrian American, a Christian, a daughter, a mother, a wife, a sister, a grandmother and great grandmother. She raised 3 children, never took any of these roles lightly, and she always gave us her best.
In her late years, she went thru hard times and difficult circumstances, from open heart surgery, to a stroke and a fall, but she handled it all with strength and fortitude over the years.
Also in her later years she had to leave her home in Syria to live here in the US where she put her trust in her sons, to care for her, with love and devotion. She is a remarkable lady who always held her head up high, taught us to respect ourselves and the people around us.
Her children, grandchildren, the great grandchildren and her entire family, will miss her so much, and they all wish for her, their mom, and their teta (grandmother), to now rest, free of pain, in heaven with her mother (Mariam, Um Restom), husband (Alexander Zamaria), father (Abu Restom), and her older siblings beside her.
